EASIEST EVER KALE CHIPS

How many times have you purchased store bought kale chips, only to be annoyed at the fact that you just spent $6 and ate the entire bag in two seconds? And hey...they weren't even THAT good, right? Well it's time to make your own, for a fraction of the cost. All you need to know is one little trick - YOUR KALE NEEDS TO BE FULLY DRY BEFORE YOU BEGIN DOING ANYTHING. That's right. So after you wash and rinse your kale, lay it out, and make sure it's dry before proceeding to the next step. If you are stubborn and don't listen to me, then don't blame me when your kale chips come out soggy :) I also think you won't ever go back to the store bought version ever again!

1 bunch kale - I like the curly kale variety
1 tsp avocado oil - I love the Chosen Foods brand. You can also use olive oil or coconut oil
2 tb nutritional yeast
pinch of red pepper flakes
pinch of himalayan pink salt
Preheat your oven to 300. Wash and DRY your kale. Break the kale with your hands into large chunks. You can remove the stems if you want, but I don't mind them, so I leave them on. Spread the kale evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet. Pour the oil in your hands and massage the kale, making sure all the nooks and crannies are covered. You don't want your kale to be drenched in oil, just lightly coated. Next, add your nutritional yeast (be generous, this adds a nice cheesy taste), the salt and a sprinkle of red pepper. Use your hands to massage it all in. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn the pan around. Place back in the oven and back for another 10 to 12 minutes. Voila! You've just made kale chips!
