kalejunkie's 2017 holiday gift guide

You guys! Welcome to my first ever gift guide! The HOLIDAYS are my favorite time of year. The day after Thanksgiving, you can find me belting Christmas carols and making my Christmas lists. But with the holidays comes so much stress, especially around finding that perfect gift for the people you love so much. To make things easier, I've rounded up a few of my favorite finds from 2017, along with a few things on my own personal wish list! I tried to include different price ranges, so I hope you find what you are looking for! Enjoy!

If you've been following me for a while, you KNOW I use these seasonings for EVERYTHING. I first discovered them on @urbankitchenapothecary's Instagram page and learned that she was making these by hand, in small batches. Naturally I had to support her and buy some, and let me tell you, I am so glad I did. I sprinkle them on top of everything and seriously can't live without them. These are the perfect stocking stuffer for the foodie in your life; plus, they make everything you make look "extra pretty"!   $24

Moondeli makes the most glorious adaptogens and potions to enhance overall health and well-being, and the Bliss Booster is my daily go-to. It contains cacao, maca (hello hormone balancing), and cayenne for a little kick! I put a tsp in my daily smoothies, and even sprinkle some on my veggies - yep, you read that right - on my veggies, and I'm in BLISS HEAVEN.   $30

My favorite matcha is by far from Matcha Reserve. Their matcha is organically grown and carefully hand picked, straight from Japan, and only the best leaves from the freshest harvest are stone-ground to provide maximum nutritional value and an amazing smooth umami flavor. They also have so many fun flavors, like chocolate matcha, caramel matcha, apple matcha, blueberry matcha, strawberry matcha, peppermint matcha, and much more. I have the entire Matcha Reserve collection and am obsessed. They make the perfect stocking stuffers!   $39

Cocokind Organic Full Brow Balm

This is the price bargain of a century for what you get. I have been using this brow balm for almost one year and it's the shizz. It tames unruly brows and adds the slightest tint (with raw cacao). I don't need to pencil in any brow. Even better, this product contains all natural ingredients and delivers key nutrients and antioxidants to hair follicles, improving circulation and promoting thick and healthy brows. The results are noticeable.   $14

You guys! There has been so much talk about this Lily Lolo natural mascara and it just didn't work for me! So I was still on the hunt for the perfect all natural mascara that doesn't clump, end up underneath my eyes, and yet makes my lashes look like I'm wearing fake ones (aka dark, thick, and longggg) The Beautycounter mascara lives up to its hype and the ingredients are much better than commercial mascara. So it's a win win. A natural product that actually works like heaven.   $30

I use coconut oil for my LIFE. I use it to cook, as a body lotion, as a hair mask, and I lather my kids in it. It's the shizz. I first learned about Conscious Coconut this year. It's your basic 100% USDA organic, fair trade certified, virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil that comes in a 3.4 oz tube, which means yep - you can travel with it. Because who really wants to lug around an entire jar of coconut oil. Also, I'm in love with this company's mission. For every purchase, a child is given a meal through Feeding America food banks. As if you needed any more convincing to grab this stocking stuffer, that one tops it all!   $16.95

Yep that's my cute boy, Hunter!

Yep that's my cute boy, Hunter!

It's NO SECRET that I am OBSESSED with MZ Wallace bags. If you take a look inside my closet, you'll see that I can pretty much open my own MZ Wallace store. These bags are the epitome of "functional luxury" - they are SUPER functional (they each have several compartments and many styles even include detachable pouches), lightweight, and stylish. I'm linking to three of my all-time staples - the Metro Backpack, which is perfect for work, gym, or even to carry around every day. Another closet staple is the Medium Metro Tote, which is what I'm currently using for my gym bag. It's not to big but somehow fits a TON of stuff inside, and comes in so many pretty colors! My favorite new style that they launched this year is the Crosby Crossbody, which I have in black. It is truly the perfect stylish and elegant cross body bag. I carry this bag when I don't have the kids with me and want something a little edgier. It's super easy to dress up and dress down (check out those pretty chains!!), and also comes in so many fun colors! OH AND ALSO, they just launched a men's wallet collection. So I'm hoping to get my husband one for Christmas. Check them out!   $215 - $295

I just have two words for you: get it. Specifically in the almond color. I have been wearing this comfy sweater on the daily since I ordered it a few weeks ago. It's super soft, not itchy, and goes perfectly with a pair of skinny jeans and some ankle booties. It's a great staple for any wardrobe! Runs big, so I'd recommend sizing down.   $98

madewell tassel earrings

I am one that wears the SAME pair of earrings every single day-diamond studs that I got from an old boyfriend years ago (haha). But I do switch things up from time to time, and lately I am loving these fun tassel earrings from Madewell. At $28, they are a great price point, and go with everything - just grab the CHAMPAGNE color!  $28

ugg slipper

Ok, so what's the thing we all need but never want to buy for ourselves? SLIPPERS, YO! Probably because it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but once you put the perfect pair on your feet, you live in them. I got the Dakota style last year for Christmas and I have to tell you, I've worn them almost every day since I got them. Super functional and super cozy. You will feel like you are walking on air.   $99.95

These bowls have changed my life, they are insanely beautiful, hand-crafted, and will make any meal look insta-worthy. They are pricey at $46 each, but you get what you pay for. I have two in the Enamelware White and two in the Quail Egg, and I want the whole collection! So if you'd like to send me a gift, please send one of these :)    $46

Succulents are all the rage this year. They are all over Instagram as the perfect food styling prop, and they are a super LOW maintenance plant and look great in your home. You can buy faux succulents, but why buy FAUX when they are so easy to maintain! I'm linking to some succulents and the Mid-Century Turned Table Top Planters, which are so darn cute.   $24 - 36

pendelton blanket

I have been eyeing up these blankets for probs a few years now and never had the guts to pull the trigger and buy one. It's not necessarily because they are pricey (they are, but in my household we believe in the motto of "buy few, buy good"), but because there are so many different designs and patterns, it's so hard to pick. And hello, I am the world's most indecisive person. Anyway, this year I'm getting one, and I've linked the one we are getting! They are super high quality, made from 100% merino wool, but it's not the scratchy kind, it's nice and soft :)   $149

I use my Nutri-bullet almost every day (alternating with my Vitamix), so when I discovered the Veggie Bullet, I knew I had to get my hands on it. For a fair price, this device shreds, spiralizes, slices, and even blends. Most of the time I use it to make zoodles, because zoodles are so kid friendly, and I will do ANYTHING to get my kid to get his veggies! It's also easy to use and easy to clean, so saves me a lot of time in the kitch. You don't need a separate spiralizer in your kitchen if you have this cool gadget.   $149.95
