MAKING TIME FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP
We made it—a whopping 5 miles away from home to our new home Hotel Zetta for the next 24 hours (and doesn’t he look excited?). Greg and I have each been away from home without one another, but one of us has always been home with the kids. We don’t have family nearby to help if we want to sneak away for a night, and also I have trust issues with babysitters, especially trusting one to stay overnight; and it’s $$. But I realized that I’ve been making EXCUSES, and that if I didn’t start trusting someone with my kids, we ain’t going anywhere till they are 18. So today we will be here. Eating our way through the city with our smoke masks on. Not a very romantic look but at least very happy and together.
It’s so important to make the time to be together one on one, before we had kids, and to be with each other now after having kids. Because let’s face it, kids are a life changing circumstance. It’s easy to forget who we are or who we have become.
